working now as your accountability partner

I have made the journey and am continuing on my quest for a better me.  Prior to our changes both my husband and I were overweight and diabetic.

I have learned to take control of my health and that good health is a DIY project.  I share my personal story of change to inspire others that it can be done, even in our 60’s and beyond.

I have always felt we needed to do our own research. I like to do my thinking outside the box and outside the system; I teach  to think outside the health care box as no one will do it for you. Your own health  is a DIY project!

I am my own best science experiment and I will share my experiences and tips with anyone that also wants change.  We can feel younger and stronger and we don’t have to be a victim of the medical system. There are countless little things that make big change.

In order to  make any sort of new change we all need the encouragement to take a road less traveled; encouragement to think for yourself,  to learn about drugs and real food and what your body can do.

WE need to  have others on our team.  I say . “Don’t go it alone” is what I say, so get a partner or someone, like me, that has done it for ourselves.  I plan to walk along others making changes.

Each one of us must be taking responsibility for the outcomes, not depending on just following along with what someone tells us, understanding that we have a choice and a responsibility to study in order to make the best choice....that is what I want to help others to visualize and then take action.

If Robert, my husband and I  would have followed the plan the doctor laid out, we’d still be fat, diabetic and on drugs, sick and in the system forever.  If I would have done what the cancer surgeon wanted to do, I'd be sick and tired, but instead I have just completed four triathlons, three of them less than a year after my tumor removal surgery!

We chose a different road, changed our thoughts, changed our eating and thus changed our lives in such an exciting manner.  My goal is to walk the journey with others by sharing my story to help them see that they  do it too.

It is not easy, but nothing worth doing is that easy, but stepping out of our comfort and stepping out of the SYSTEM.  I’d be happy to answer any questions on what ideas others have to be a better person.

Our body is the only place we have to live.  We  need to be the best we can be, for our own good, but also so we  can be the best parent or  grandparent, as well as the best we  can be in our job, our church, our life.  No one should be sick, or tired, or in pain as little things can make a difference.

Our bodies are  designed to heal and it will when we give it what it needs to heal and get rid of what sabotages the healing that can happen.  We may not turn into superman or superwomen and may keel over tomorrow as  we will all die in the end, but let’s make the trip together as enjoyable as possible.

What I am NOT....I am not a doctor, not a dietician, not a health coach, not a personal living coach.

What I AM  I am a passionate person on a mission to share what I have learned in life. No one is more astounded on life changes than me.  The possibilities are endless and God is in control.  We can be healthier with good choices.          I strive to be a Titus 2 woman:  an aged woman, teacher of good things.

Invite me to walk your journey and your goals to a better you!
